📋 Description

• Support Revenue Cycle Supervisors and the Revenue Cycle Department • Oversee daily activities of the Revenue Cycle Team • Support timely and accurate submission of claims, appeals, and cash posting • Monitor performance, work queues, and production goals • Assist in training and evaluating Revenue Cycle department staff • Develop and maintain procedures for claims processing, appeals, cash posting, and related functions • Process billing transactions and meet month-end processing requirements • Perform ad-hoc audits • Handle escalations and keep leadership informed • Act as subject matter expert on systems, workflows, and guidelines • Educate team members and suggest billing process or workflow updates • Provide additional departmental resources for special projects and high-volume functions • Collaborate across the department to maximize productivity • Attend required staff and company meetings • Uphold company mission, values, Quality Management System policies, and procedures • Work assigned schedules, overtime, nights, and weekends as needed

🎯 Requirements

• High School diploma or GED • 2+ years of experience directly or indirectly leading others • 2+ years of experience in medical or insurance billing • Previous experience working with billing software • Demonstrated knowledge of medical billing principles and practices • Solid understanding of payer categories including Medicare, Medicaid, Medicare Advantage and Insurance Payers • Professional working knowledge of ICD-9 and ICD-10 • Professional working knowledge of CPT • Professional working knowledge of EOB; able to read and interpret EOB for all payers • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • Demonstrated ability to perform essential duties with or without accommodation • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship • Ability to successfully complete an assessment of Exact Sciences Epic processes with a score of 80% or higher • Preferred: 4+ years of medical billing and collections experience • Preferred: Associate Degree, Vocational/Technical degree or certification • Preferred: 3+ years of medical billing experience within the health care industry
