• Participate in development, validation, and support of genomic biomarker assays • Support experimental and study design and protocol development • Perform statistical data analysis and develop methods of process surveillance • Prepare study reports • Serve as a subject matter expert for regulatory submissions • Liaise with cross-functional departments and statistical collaborators • Select and adapt statistical methods for specific objectives • Apply theoretical and applied statistics • Perform statistical programming and analysis using SAS, R, or Python • Partner with scientists, pathologists, oncologists, and commercial, legal, and business development representatives • Support and comply with company Quality Management System policies and procedures • Travel between Abbott Cancer Diagnostics locations and travel approximately 5% of working time, potentially including overnight/weekend travel
• Master’s degree in Biostatistics or field as outlined in the essential duties • 6+ years of relevant experience • Professional working knowledge of theoretical and applied statistics • Strong statistical programming skills in SAS, R, or Python • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • Strong verbal, written, graphical communication, and presentation skills • Ability to seek and integrate feedback professionally • Ability to work independently, prioritize, and produce high-quality results • Ability to collaborate effectively as part of a cross-functional team • Ability to perform essential duties with or without accommodation • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship • Preferred: PhD in Biostatistics or 9+ years of relevant experience • Preferred: Statistical experience in molecular diagnostics, drug, or medical device development • Preferred: Experience working in oncology • Preferred: Experience developing products for approval by regulatory authorities such as FDA
