📋 Description

• Execute brand strategy and tactics in the field • Manage assigned territory and targeted accounts • Build customer relationships and solve customer needs to maximize sales performance • Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives • Create pre-call plans and conduct post-call evaluations • Handle objections and secure calls to action during sales calls • Serve customer needs and build trusted customer relationships • Develop and execute call plans to optimize customer coverage, frequency, access, and sales opportunities • Build knowledge of customer needs, territory market landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, disease states, products, clinical topics, and sales • Share market intelligence with in-field, brand, and sales management teams • Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with healthcare providers • Identify, develop, and maintain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field preferred, or relevant and equivalent industry experience required • In lieu of a bachelor’s degree: at least five years of experience, including three or more years within the pharmaceutical, health, or science industry preferred, and a high school diploma/GED required • In-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge • Strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools • Strategic and critical thinking capabilities • Ability to identify customer styles/behaviors and adapt selling approaches • Ability to develop sales strategies and innovative solutions • Ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment • Leadership and peer coaching experience • Documented success in leadership and support roles of increased responsibility • Commercial pharmaceutical industry experience preferred, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed health care, or marketing • English language proficiency verbally and in writing • Must satisfy applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and be in good standing or eligible to obtain credentials • Valid driver’s license • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements • Ability to drive a personal or company vehicle or powered material-handling equipment
