📋 Description

• Execute AbbVie brand strategy and sales tactics in the field • Manage assigned territory and targeted accounts • Deliver sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing objectives • Create pre-call plans using SMART objectives and conduct post-call evaluations • Handle objections and secure calls to action during sales calls • Serve customer needs and build trusted customer relationships • Develop and execute call plans to optimize coverage and sales opportunities • Build market, competitor, disease, product, clinical, and sales expertise • Share market intelligence with field, brand, and sales teams • Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with healthcare providers • Identify, develop, and maintain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates • Travel to cover the territory and attend scheduled training events and sales meetings

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or business-related field preferred, or equivalent industry experience • At least five years of relevant and equivalent industry experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree • Three or more years of pharmaceutical, health, or science industry experience preferred • High school diploma/GED required • Proven track record of sales success • Solid presentation skills • Scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge • Strong business acumen and proficiency with business tools • Strategic and critical thinking capabilities • Ability to operate effectively in a matrix environment • Collaborative partnership with district and matrix teams • Documented success in leadership or support roles of increased responsibility • Valid driver’s license • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving requirements • Ability to travel adequately to cover the territory, including overnight training events and sales meetings • Ability to drive a personal auto, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment • English proficiency verbally and in writing • Must satisfy applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and be in good standing or eligible to obtain them • May need to meet background checks, drug screens, immunization/vaccination proof, fingerprinting, and state or city-specific licensing requirements
