📋 Description

• Build strong, consistent relationships with students through regular check-ins and personalized communication • Encourage a growth mindset and build student confidence through positive, strengths-based conversations • Create a safe, inclusive virtual space where students feel heard, supported, and empowered to succeed • Organize and lead virtual community events and clubs • Track academic progress across subjects using student dashboards, course reports, and communication with teachers • Provide proactive, timely support to students showing signs of academic struggle or disengagement • Coordinate interventions, one-on-one coaching, and other support resources • Celebrate student milestones and share success stories • Partner with Admissions to collect and evaluate transcripts and English proficiency scores and support prospective student interviews • Coordinate with the Academic Team on course maps, scheduling, student goals, and program requirements • Liaise with teachers regarding student deadlines, progress, and engagement in extracurricular and project-based learning • Work with Marketing to highlight student and teacher achievements through recognition programs • Maintain access to student-facing tools and learning platforms • Help students and families use key systems and improve digital onboarding • Liaise between students and tech support when issues arise

🎯 Requirements

• Strong understanding of the US secondary education system • 2+ years working with students aged 12–18 as a teacher, tutor, advisor, or in another support role • 2+ years of fully remote work experience • Professional fluency in English, written and spoken • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage a large student caseload and track progress across multiple subjects • Confidence with digital tools, including learning management systems and student dashboards, with the ability to troubleshoot and teach others to use them • Effective stakeholder management with students, parents, and internal teams • Cross-cultural communication skills and comfort working with families from diverse countries and educational backgrounds • Flexibility to work outside standard business hours to accommodate students across time zones • Demonstrated commitment to student wellbeing and growth • Experience working in a virtual school preferred • Familiarity with international curricula (IB, Cambridge/A-Levels, AP) preferred • Knowledge of the US college admissions process preferred • Experience organizing clubs, events, or online student communities in a virtual space preferred • Background or certification in counseling, advising, or coaching preferred • Proficiency in languages other than English preferred
