📋 Description

• Review applicable building codes, standards, and local regulations for project locations • Create CAD drawings and calculations under Engineers’ direction • Develop and implement design criteria and system designs from concept through construction • Work alongside Engineers to translate design vision into drawings and designs • Communicate with Engineer leads and managers regarding projects, timelines, and deadlines • Coordinate layouts of distribution systems and equipment locations with team members • Review shop drawing submittals and travel to job sites • Interpret Basis of Design information, field surveys, and code research • Analyze project manager feedback to produce high-quality client deliverables • Assist with equipment and fixture selection • Respond to RFIs, submittals, and other construction-phase services tasks • Attend weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly meetings • Support business development by engaging with new clients • Conduct peer edits and reviews on other projects when requested

🎯 Requirements

• Associate’s degree in computer drafting and design or a related field, preferred • Minimum of 1 year of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, at an MEP Engineering firm or A-E firm • Knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit software programs • Proficient knowledge of BlueBeam and Microsoft Suite, including Outlook, Word, and Excel • Knowledge of STAAD, TEDDS, and RAM Structural System, preferred • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks • Comfortable traveling, including flights, car services, and hotels • Strong work ethic; ability to work independently and collaboratively; highly organized and detail-oriented • Strong project management, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills • Able to complete complex tasks with minimal supervision • Able to lift a minimum of 15–20 pounds • Able to hear to take phone calls and communicate verbally • U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident of the U.S.
