• Build key opinion leader partnerships through scientific and medical information exchange with external stakeholders across assigned therapeutic areas and geography • Establish and maintain educational and research collaborations • Deliver clinical, scientific, technical, and medical education presentations • Build peer-to-peer relationships with healthcare professionals, researchers, professional organization leaders, and formulary decision-makers • Identify and develop thought leaders for medical education, clinical research, and publication opportunities • Cultivate KOL relationships for advisory boards, investigator-initiated research, and speaker development • Provide field insights to managers and internal teams • Identify opportunities for cross-functional engagement based on customer needs • Represent Chiesi USA Medical Affairs at scientific meetings • Support company-supported clinical research, investigator-initiated trials, and collaborative initiatives • Gather and disseminate competitive intelligence in accordance with company policies • Participate in internal therapeutic advisory groups • Plan with regional business partners to optimize customer experience • Lead and support internal medical projects and cross-functional projects • Contribute to clinical research, medical education materials, internal training, journal clubs, and team meetings • Mentor and support new team members through onboarding • Complete timely documentation of field activities, expense reports, and administrative reports • Complete required training and maintain expertise, professional licensing, and certifications
• Completion of a graduate-level degree: PharmD, M.D., D.O., DNP, PhD, MSN, MS, or equivalent healthcare professional degree • Relevant clinical experience • Postgraduate residency training plus 1–2 years of MSL or therapeutic-area-relevant clinical experience; PhD candidates are exempt from the residency requirement if they have requisite experience • Ability to build and leverage strategic internal and external relationships • Ability to work effectively on diverse, multidisciplinary teams • Ability to plan, prioritize, and execute multiple responsibilities with minimal supervision in a dynamic environment • Scientific and clinical expertise in the assigned therapeutic area • Knowledge of clinical, pharmacoeconomic, HEOR, and real-world evidence concepts • Strong business acumen • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills • Ability to convey complex scientific ideas to varied audiences • Ability to provide scientifically sound information to KOLs and HCPs • Ability to listen actively and ask insightful questions • Ability to state expert opinions diplomatically while maintaining evidence-based credibility • Thorough knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance standards, and hospital credentialing processes • Ability to obtain and maintain necessary hospital credentials • Successful completion of a drug test, including marijuana testing • Willingness to travel up to 75% as necessary • Maintain required professional licenses and certifications
