• Lead the growth, retention, and relationship management of the ATD Network • Recruit new colleges, districts, systems, and consortia into the ATD Network • Develop recruitment strategy, set annual growth targets, own the prospect pipeline, and report conversion results to the President and CEO and Board of Directors • Own member-college renewals, benefits cycles, invoicing coordination, at-risk identification, interventions, and retention strategies • Lead institutional designations, applications, recertifications, and re-engagement of former members • Design and maintain ATD's college relationship management model and authoritative membership record • Define and publish responsibilities across Network Engagement, Services Management, Marketing and Communications, and Finance • Partner with IT and Digital Transformation on system-of-record configuration, governance, and data quality • Set purpose, audience, success measures, participation targets, registration revenue, and recognition strategy for Network convenings • Oversee college-facing contracting and recommend membership and services pricing • Own earned revenue targets associated with Network membership and college services • Supervise and develop the Executive Directors of Network Engagement and Services Management • Manage division staffing, structure, budget, and staffing plan • Serve on the Senior Leadership Team and contribute to organizational planning, budgeting, and strategic decisions • Represent ATD with college presidents, system leaders, associations, and at national convenings
• Master's degree required; doctorate preferred • Minimum of ten years of progressively responsible leadership experience in higher education, membership organizations, nonprofit leadership, or institutional partnerships • Experience building or rebuilding a membership, business development, or institutional sales function, including targets and accountability for results • Experience leading retention or renewal efforts and reducing attrition • Experience implementing or governing a customer relationship management system, and establishing it as the organization's authoritative record • Experience defining roles and responsibilities across multiple functions and holding them to a documented process • Experience setting the purpose and audience for large convenings, in partnership with content and operations colleagues • Experience working directly with presidents, cabinets, and governing boards • Experience reporting results to a chief executive and a board of directors • Strong knowledge of relationship management systems, including Salesforce, and data governance • Demonstrated ability to carry and publicly report membership, enrollment, or revenue results • Experience building pipeline discipline, including qualification, stage definitions, forecasting, and conversion measurement • Deep understanding of community colleges and national network membership decisions • Ability to build trust with institutional leaders over long cultivation cycles • Frequent travel based on college recruitment and engagement, conferences, convenings, and partner meetings
