• Accept referrals and maintain a client load of at least 15 clinical hours per week • Counsel clients individually and/or in family sessions regarding dependencies, life adjustment, and behavioral changes • Make internal referrals to IOP when little to no improvement occurs within 8 weeks of outpatient therapy • Guide clients in developing skills and strategies to address problems • Develop and implement treatment plans with SMART goals; complete plans within 72 hours of intake and update them every 4 weeks • Complete and maintain client paperwork, diagnostic records, progress notes, treatment records, and reports • Complete progress notes within 48 hours after every session • Evaluate clients’ physical or mental condition based on client information • Collaborate with staff on clinical assessments and treatment plans within 2 days of establishing care • Refer patients, clients, or family members to community resources or specialists as necessary • Maintain professional knowledge through literature, courses, seminars, and contact with social service agencies
• Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university • Two years of professional-level experience in a counselor setting • Current and active license to practice behavioral health in Louisiana: LCSW, LPC, or LMFT • Applicants with grief experience will be given priority • Preferred: 2+ years of healthcare experience with oncology • Preferred: 1 year of experience in telehealth settings
