📋 Description

• Perform substation engineering with a specialization in physical substation design • Apply electrical engineering expertise to utility-scale power delivery projects • Perform specific and limited portions of broader assignments under moderate supervision • Gather and correlate basic engineering data using established procedures • Complete detailed or routine engineering assignments, calculations, and relatively simple tests • Propose approaches to solve new problems and identify discrepancies in results • Provide guidance to entry-level engineers • Perform work according to agreed budgets and schedules • Attend in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and 2 years of relevant experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education • Experience with high voltage substation design • Experience using AutoCAD and/or Bentley MicroStation • EIT certification preferred • Professional engineering license, or ability to obtain one within 2 years of hire • Knowledge of construction practices and constructability • Experience with proposal writing and project estimating • Working knowledge of scheduling and project controls processes • Knowledge of substation industry and technology trends • Familiarity with IEEE, ANSI, NESC, NEC, and National Electrical Safety Code standards • Working knowledge of MS Office, including Word and Excel • Effective verbal communication and technical writing skills • Ability to pay close attention to detail and check work quality • Ability to use sound engineering judgment • Ability to manage time and workload effectively • Sponsorship for US Employment Authorization is not available
