📋 Description

• Serve as senior technical lead and subject matter expert for environmental remediation projects involving soil, groundwater, sediment, and vapor impacts • Provide technical oversight and quality reviews for remedial investigations, feasibility studies, corrective action plans, remedial designs, risk assessments, remedial action implementation, and site closure documentation • Develop and review conceptual site models, evaluate contaminant fate and transport, and recommend remediation strategies • Evaluate, select, and optimize remediation technologies • Provide strategic guidance for projects regulated under RCRA Corrective Action, CERCLA/Superfund, Brownfields, UST/LUST, and state voluntary cleanup programs • Advise clients and project managers during client meetings, regulatory discussions, and project planning • Mentor project managers, engineers, geologists, hydrogeologists, and environmental scientists • Support business development through technical proposals, scope development, project planning, and client presentations • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering and environmental teams • Perform senior-level technical reviews for quality, consistency, regulatory compliance, and adherence to AECOM standards • Manage multiple priorities and support diverse project teams

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geological Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or a related field • 12+ years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education • Extensive experience with contaminated site investigation and remediation, regulatory compliance, remedial design, and closure strategies • Experience managing and providing technical oversight for complex remediation projects • Knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations, including RCRA, CERCLA, UST/LUST, and RBCA • Expertise in contaminated site investigation, remedial design, remedy optimization, and regulatory closure • Excellent technical writing, report review, presentation, and client communication skills • Ability to mentor technical staff and provide leadership across multidisciplinary project teams • Preferred: 20+ years of progressively responsible environmental consulting experience • Preferred: Professional Engineer (PE) and/or Professional Geologist (PG) registration • Preferred: Master's degree in Engineering, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, Geology, or a related discipline • Preferred: Experience with refinery, terminal, pipeline, and upstream or downstream oil & gas remediation projects • Preferred: Groundwater modeling, contaminant transport modeling, and remedial system optimization experience • Preferred: Recognized technical expert with an established environmental consulting industry reputation • Preferred: Client relationship management and business development experience • Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship • Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen
