📋 Description

• Lead technical staff in preparing utility engineering designs and proposal estimates • Manage engineering aspects of multiple projects ranging from 34.5kV to 500kV • Develop project schedules and define technical staffing for projects and daily work • Mentor and instruct technical staff on engineering principles and electrical and safety codes • Teach technical staff to use computer systems, software, tools, equipment, and company-owned motor vehicles • Guide professional communication with internal and external stakeholders • Coordinate internal and external design reviews before submissions • Collaborate with department managers to develop, evaluate, and implement engineering policies and procedures • Collaborate with other departments and divisions on company-wide initiatives • Maintain relationships with existing clients and pursue opportunities with potential future clients • Design utility-scale transmission lines with a focus on structural engineering in the power delivery industry

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural or Electrical Engineering and 6 years of experience, or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education • Active Professional Engineering (P.E.) licensure • Experience with PLS-CADD, MFAD, and AutoCAD • 5+ years of experience in Power Transmission Design preferred • Professional disposition and ability to be open-minded when planning and executing projects • Ability to effectively supervise a project team of Engineers and Engineering Technicians while maintaining work product quality, consistency, accuracy, and reliability • Advanced knowledge of overhead and underground transmission facilities and their integration into daily activities • Experience with NESC, ASCE, IEEE, and other industry-relevant standards • Proficiency in MS Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project • Sponsorship for US Employment Authorization is not available
