📋 Description

• Support design development, project engineering, plan reviews, owner’s engineers, and construction of photovoltaic, high-voltage, substation, and grid-scale battery energy storage projects • Review structural plans and evaluate structural bases of design, economical construction alternatives, and structural solutions • Perform quality control and assurance assessments • Provide technical guidance on pile load testing, Lpile analysis, foundation types, concrete and steel design, corrosion issues, and costing • Provide early-stage foundation design options for project estimating • Collaborate with external engineering vendors on conceptual foundation-system designs and tools • Review geotechnical reports for structural impacts • Support Owner’s Engineer engagements, procurement, vendor coordination, proposals, and reviews • Provide technical input, design solutions, value-engineering reviews, and structural deliverable reviews • Review structural calculations, studies, RFIs, and design packages for code, standards, specifications, and AHJ conformance • Perform site visits, root-cause analyses, job-site assessments, and safety walks • Coordinate with high-voltage and project engineers on project schedules • Maintain a foundation-design database and analyze design evolution and material impacts • Draft and update structural specifications and verify calculations and recommendations in construction documents • Troubleshoot construction and operations issues and develop repair/remediation options • Support innovation product reviews related to structural design • Develop tools, guidance, training, and concept-design and estimating methodologies • Serve as subject matter expert for complex structural engineering reviews • Improve internal design-review and quality-assurance processes • Contribute to growth planning, process-improvement task forces, and strategic initiatives • Support field design issues and escalate to external engineering when needed

🎯 Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in Structural Engineering or equivalent technical field • 10+ years professional experience in structural engineering • 5+ years of experience with PV and Battery Energy Storage System design and WTG foundation design and/or 2+ years of experience with HV Substation and Overhead Line design • Field experience with structural, civil, geotechnical, and/or design-build construction • Experience with structural engineering standards and codes in the US • Proficiency with Microsoft Office • PE or SE qualifications, or on track to become qualified • Experience with Lpile, finite element analysis (SAP2000, STAAD, or similar), or other advanced modeling tools • Spanish language skills • OSHA 10-hr or comparable job-site safety certification
