📋 Description

• Lead and develop a team of software test engineers, including hiring, mentoring, performance management, and career development • Define and implement the overall test strategy, including functional, integration, regression, performance, and automated testing • Establish and communicate test plans, schedules, resource estimates, and quality metrics for projects and releases • Drive test automation adoption, including frameworks, tools, and continuous testing practices • Partner with R&D, Product Management, and DevOps teams to enable “shift-left” quality and continuous delivery • Ensure timely identification, tracking, and resolution of defects and quality risks • Help oversee test environments, tools, and data management to support efficient and repeatable testing • Monitor and report on product quality metrics (e.g., defect leakage, test coverage, release readiness) • Support compliance with applicable standards (e.g., regulated environments, validation frameworks where applicable) • Continuously improve testing processes, tools, and methodologies to increase efficiency and effectiveness

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) • 8–12+ years of experience in software testing, quality engineering, or related roles • 3–5+ years of experience managing or leading software test/QA teams • Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, frameworks, and lifecycle processes • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments • Demonstrated experience in test planning, defect management, and release validation • Solid communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical teams • Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and deliver against deadlines • Experience with test automation frameworks and continuous integration/continuous testing practices (preferred) • Familiarity with modern web and enterprise application architectures (APIs, microservices, cloud-based systems) (preferred) • Experience with quality metrics, reporting, and data-driven decision-making (preferred) • Knowledge of regulatory or validated environments (e.g., FDA, ISO) where applicable (preferred) • Experience scaling QA processes across distributed/global teams (preferred) • Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB) (preferred) • Vendor management (preferred) • AI implementation in testing (preferred)
