• Serve as the subject matter expert and primary reviewer technical lead for PV and BESS electrical engineering efforts • Develop, implement, and continuously improve electrical design standards, templates, and best practices • Oversee electrical engineering deliverables to ensure they are timely, compliant, high quality, within budget, and constructable • Review electrical engineering designs and studies, develop deliverables, and act as Engineer of Record for one or more projects simultaneously • Lead, manage, and mentor the electrical design team on PV and BESS projects • Champion innovation in design tools, processes, and plant technology • Maintain knowledge of current and pending industry codes and standards and incorporate them into design tools and processes • Interface with clients and stakeholders to optimize project design and value and provide technical solutions • Support pursuits with conceptual design and engineering budget input • Support Operations by resolving RFIs, field changes, and other design-related issues • Conduct technical evaluations of proposed changes to project design requirements, material specifications, or means and methods • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to integrate civil, structural, and high-voltage design packages
• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and/or Electrical Power Engineering • 10+ years of power system design and engineering experience • 5+ years of experience in PV or BESS • Professional Engineer license in one or more US states • Experience leading a team of engineers and designers • Knowledge of NEC, ANSI, NEMA, IEEE, and other applicable codes and standards • Proficiency in applicable engineering software, including AutoCAD, ETAP, PVSyst/SAM, and relevant electrical system analysis software • EPC experience preferred
