• Create and revise design drawings of high voltage transmission and distribution substations including: • Site plans. • Foundation plans and details. • Structural Steel plans and fabrication details. • Peer review of other’s drawings. • Maintain drawing files – archived, current and working revisions. • Update drawings to field as-built conditions. • Teach and mentor young designers and/or new employees on civil/structural design and company practices. • Participate in the development and review of company standards and design tools to optimize design applications. • Provide project support/office support as required. • Occasional travel to field sites or working at a client’s office may be required.
• Associates Degree in Civil Engineering/Technology preferred, but not required. • 5+ Years’ Experience in Design of Transmission Level Substations (13.8kV – 500 kV) including: • Site plans. • Foundation plans and details. • Structural Steel plans and fabrication details. • Good written and verbal communications skills • Ability to work well with others in a team setting • Skilled in problem solving in time-sensitive situations. • Demonstrated experience in the following software programs: • AutoCAD (2015 or later) – Advanced, required • MicroStation – Advanced/Intermediate, preferred • Microsoft Word – Intermediate • Microsoft Excel – Intermediate • Microsoft Outlook – Intermediate
