📋 Description

• Identify and qualify new sponsor/CRO clinical trial studies among existing and prospective sponsors/CROs. • Generate, identify, and qualify potential business for Alcanza’s network of clinical trial sites. • Identify sponsor prospects, perform needs analysis, identify opportunities, and follow up with the Business Development team. • Manage prospect inquiries with Directors of Business Development. • Create and execute strategic sponsor/CRO account activities aligned with Alcanza’s business plan and objectives. • Arrange and participate in internal and external discussions and meetings regarding sponsor/CRO inquiries. • Support industry conference preparation by researching and qualifying sponsors and CROs. • Monitor industry trends, emerging therapeutic areas, and indications for potential study opportunities. • Identify, qualify, and manage leads from websites, marketing campaigns, and marketplace platforms such as Zymewire, GlobalData, and CenterWatch. • Support annual sales goals, track progress, and report on leads, opportunities, and pipeline development. • Collaborate with site operations and Business Development throughout the sales cycle. • Promote Alcanza’s clinical trial site network and expertise to sponsors and CROs. • Maintain current knowledge of Alcanza’s clinical trial conduct capabilities. • Participate in strategic and business decisions regarding new study opportunities. • Execute sales and business development activities, including sales planning, reporting, and accurate lead/opportunity entry in Devana. • Maintain accurate Devana data for leads, sales, and business development activities. • Coordinate with the Business Development team to facilitate handover and execution of new business opportunities. • Arrange prospective sponsor/CRO visits to Alcanza sites. • Report on marketplace developments and competitor activities. • Participate in, lead, and/or present at team, department, management, client, and other meetings as needed. • Communicate and liaise professionally with clients and internal and external stakeholders. • Maintain confidentiality of patient, customer, and company information. • Perform other assigned duties. • Travel up to 10% may be required depending on business needs.

🎯 Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, or related field and a minimum of 1 year of business development or sales experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. • Inside sales and/or business development experience with pharmaceutical and medical device companies and/or CRO, clinical trial site, or network. • Understanding of the clinical trial process (Phase I–IV). • Familiarity with Zymewire and GlobalData and/or other pharma marketplace platforms is preferred. • Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), internet, and typing proficiency (40+ wpm). • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills. • Networking and relationship-building capabilities. • Presentation and persuasion skills, including conveying complex concepts to diverse audiences and effective business development and selling techniques. • Interpersonal and listening skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively with teams, clients, sponsors, and all organizational levels. • Proactive, self-motivated, results-oriented mindset. • Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities, adapt to changing workloads and priorities, and meet deadlines. • Professionalism, respect for others, and strong work ethic. • High degree of integrity and dependability. • Ability to work under minimal supervision, think independently, identify problems, and implement solutions. • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and professionally in compliance with HIPAA guidelines. • May be required to travel up to 10% of the time, dependent on business needs.
