📋 Description

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the clinical research sector • Research and analyze markets and develop strategies to secure new business • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with pharmaceutical companies, CROs, and other stakeholders • Develop and execute business development plans • Attend conferences and industry events as needed, leverage networks, generate leads, and close deals • Conduct market research and competitive analysis • Collaborate with operations, finance, marketing, and other cross-functional teams • Prepare and present client-tailored proposals highlighting clinical research services • Track sales activities, targets, pipeline, and performance metrics • Report business development activities and performance to senior management • Represent the organization at industry conferences and relevant events • May oversee interviewing, selection, performance appraisals, timecards, absences, onboarding, training, counseling, coaching, and termination meetings • Participate in and present at management or site meetings • Perform other assigned duties

🎯 Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, or related field • Minimum of 5 years related experience in business development or sales within the clinical research industry • Experience with a focus on CNS/Neuro • Strong knowledge of clinical research processes and industry trends • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strategic partnerships and drive revenue growth • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, internet, and typing 40+ wpm • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail • Written and verbal communication and presentation skills • Interpersonal and listening skills • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with teams, clients, sponsors, and all organizational levels • Networking and relationship-building capabilities • Proactive, self-motivated, results-oriented mindset • Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities and adapt to workload changes • Professionalism, respectfulness, self-motivation, and strong work ethic • High degree of integrity and dependability • Ability to work under minimal supervision, identify problems, and implement solutions • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and professionally in compliance with HIPAA guidelines
