📋 Description

• Overseeing all aspects of ALDF’s Litigation Program. • Developing programmatic goals and strategies. • Managing day-to-day operations of the Litigation Program. • Providing high-level guidance to team members and ensuring adequate training. • Working with ALDF leadership to develop effective litigation goals and strategies. • Evaluating work product of Litigation Program staff to ensure high-quality outputs. • Coordinating with other ALDF programs on cross-programmatic impact cases. • Preparing and delivering presentations for conferences and events. • Serving as media contact for the Litigation Program.

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in animal protection litigation and litigation management in comparable nonprofit settings or equivalent. • A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an American Bar Association-accredited law school. • Preference for significant experience litigating claims arising under consumer protection statutes, First Amendment, and environmental protection statutes. • 5+ years in a formal people leadership role. • A track record of developing and successfully litigating novel strategic impact litigation. • Strong skills in complex cases including drafting complaints and managing discovery. • High ethical standards and professional integrity. • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. • Strong problem solving, critical thinking, and decision-making abilities.
