• Manage a profitable portfolio of business within agreed parameters using sound credit analysis techniques • Perform financial and credit analysis to determine appropriate company credit ratings • Conduct buyer visits and telephone interviews to obtain critical portfolio-monitoring information • Monitor high-risk buyers and solicit proprietary information for the EHNA database • Establish and maintain contact with Finance Directors and treasurers through visits, telephone calls, and written correspondence • Use available information to grade buyers consistently within authority and make detailed recommendations outside authority • Communicate with Sales Agents, Commercial Underwriters, and/or customers regarding underwriting requirements, industry outlooks, and target markets • Create industry sector outlooks using public and proprietary information to determine underlying market trends • Devise and execute rigorous risk monitoring plans, including review dates, follow-ups, and updates • Produce periodic accurate reports for internal and external stakeholders and execute necessary follow-up actions • Monitor and alert stakeholders to deteriorating risk or buyers at risk of default • Propose improvements for earliest possible risk identification • Recommend risk underwriting strategies for specific buyers to minimize default while optimizing customer satisfaction • Identify and apply risk reduction and mitigation strategies case by case • Communicate efficiently with buyers and policyholders to ensure consistency of messaging in support of the risk strategy • Report to the head of SRU
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Economics or Finance • MBA preferred • 4-7 years’ experience in financial management experience in banking, credit insurance brokerage or a credit insurance environment • Excellent computer skills, with an understanding of financial software and spreadsheet packages • Excellent understanding of Financial Statements • Excellent analytical skills • Interpersonal skills in high-level business meetings, both internally and externally • Exceptional written communication skills • Computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Word and Excel • Effective at time management • Bilingual preferred • Credit knowledge and experience with high volume risk analysis and underwriting • Market knowledge of the local economic environment • Expertise on a particular region and/or trade sector • Strong skills in financial analysis; very good knowledge of Finance and Credit Management • Expertise and experience in buyer assessment
