📋 Description

• Guide and mentor junior data scientists • Lead medium- to high-complexity data science initiatives • Shape enterprise data-driven decision-making practices • Lead strategic applications of machine learning and predictive modeling • Identify new modeling opportunities and advance modeling approaches • Integrate internal and external data to improve business outcomes • Design end-to-end decisioning ecosystems with business and technology teams • Develop scalable, cloud-based, full-stack capabilities for reliable deployment of machine learning, decisioning, and agentic systems • Review, evaluate, communicate, and recommend modeling techniques and results • Develop communication strategies and influence business partners and senior leaders • Design, build, and partner on implementation of machine learning and predictive models • Understand business problems and requirements to identify optimal modeling approaches • Develop data and machine learning frameworks and prototypes • Mentor and develop data scientists • Develop complex statistical and machine learning techniques • Identify useful languages, tools, data sources, research areas, and models • Plan and manage analytical, modeling, and development projects, including scope, tasks, team members, and deadlines

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on, practical experience using Python for data science, modelling, and building production-ready solutions • Experience using R, SQL, TensorFlow, and PyTorch • Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Docker containerization, observability concepts, and cloud security fundamentals • Introductory experience or strong interest in Generative or Agentic development • Exposure to AWS Bedrock and/or Azure Foundry through projects, coursework, or on-the-job experience • Basic familiarity with Infrastructure as Code concepts and tools • Familiarity with AI-driven software development tools and workflows • Experience coaching and mentoring a team • 5 or more years of relevant experience • Supervisory duties • Required to submit to a background investigation • Allstate generally does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this position • Dedicated private workspace at home, appropriate desk and seating, and reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload
