📋 Description

• Provide exceptional service to policyholders • Travel to customers' homes to conduct on-site property inspections • Investigate coverage and assess property damage • Prepare estimates and settle claims promptly and efficiently • Handle virtual claims countrywide • Use Xactimate, ClaimsX Video Collaboration, estimating tools, job aids, and settlement platforms • Focus expertise on water-loss claims • Interpret policies to determine coverage • Communicate with customers by phone, email, and video chat • Offer customers communication preferences and provide claim-progress updates • Evaluate and negotiate settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants • Handle challenging and complex negotiations • Complete timely and accurate claim documentation in the claims system • Attend approximately two weeks of training in Dallas, Texas

🎯 Requirements

• 2 years' previous experience as an outside adjuster highly desired • Previous outside-adjuster experience highly desired • Proficiency using Xactimate and relevant estimating software • Strong critical-thinking and technical skills for accurately assessing damages and expediting settlements • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to travel to customers' homes and handle virtual claims countrywide • Detail-oriented and organized • Residency within the posted location is mandatory • Ability to carry a 50-pound ladder • Ability to access roofs up to a 6/12 pitch on one- to two-story homes • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel • Ability to attend approximately two weeks of training in Dallas, TX • Required adjuster and/or appraiser license, if applicable to the office/area, to be secured within 60 days of hire • Successful completion of an applicable licensing background check • Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload • Dedicated, private, distraction-free home workspace with appropriate desk and seating • Must submit to a background investigation • Allstate generally does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this position
