📋 Description

• Independently manage complex legacy runoff claims arising from historical excess liability policies • Analyze and apply CGL, umbrella, and excess policy language, including historical policy forms • Evaluate underlying facts, jurisdiction-specific law, and long-latency issues to determine coverage positions and claims strategy • Handle asbestos bodily injury, talc, environmental contamination, PFAS, and other mass tort claims • Assess environmental exposure claims including soil and groundwater remediation • Manage claims involving large commercial and industrial insureds with substantial liability exposure • Manage litigated matters, including coverage actions filed against Allstate • Coordinate with internal and external counsel on litigation strategy • Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and negotiations and serve as a witness when required • Establish, document, and adjust case reserves and financial projections • Develop and execute action plans • Provide clear analysis and recommendations • Maintain thoroughly documented claim files in compliance with internal guidelines • Manage a complex and diverse caseload • Work across multiple claims systems • Adapt to evolving technology and AI-supported workflows

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of experience handling mass tort, asbestos, environmental, or other long-latency claims preferred • Prior casualty experience with complex coverage analysis, excess policies, or legacy runoff portfolios strongly preferred • Experience handling multi-jurisdictional claims across the U.S. and/or Canada • Advanced coverage analysis • Strong written and verbal communication abilities • Proven negotiation and settlement experience • High level of independence and accountability in a remote environment • Ability to manage complexity across multiple claim types and systems • Ability to work with CGL, umbrella, and excess policy language • Ability to handle asbestos bodily injury, talc, environmental contamination, PFAS, and other mass tort claims • Ability to manage litigated matters, mediations, arbitrations, and negotiations • Ability to establish and adjust case reserves and financial projections • Background investigation required • Allstate generally does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this position • Dedicated, private workspace free from distractions with appropriate desk and seating • Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload • Valid photo identification available at the start of the interview (not required for internal candidates)
