📋 Description

• Investigate, analyze, and determine insurance coverage for complex first-party and third-party claims • Serve as a coverage expert and provide guidance on complex coverage issues • Evaluate legal opinions and collaborate with defense counsel, coverage counsel, claims professionals, and business partners • Evaluate, negotiate, and settle complex represented and/or litigation claims • Establish negotiation and litigation strategies with defense counsel • Establish and adjust reserves; document rationale and claim summary notes • Review medical bills and records for claims settlement evaluation • Lead team training sessions • Manage, research, and resolve complex communications, concerns, conflicts, or issues • Document claim files with notes, evaluations, and decision-making processes

🎯 Requirements

• 4 year Bachelor’s Degree preferred • Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of the education requirement • 3 or more years of experience • Advanced analytical skills • Strong legal reasoning • Ability to interpret complex insurance contracts and legal opinions • Knowledge of insurance policy language, legal principles, and claims litigation • Ability to obtain required adjuster and/or appraiser license(s) within 60 days of hire, if applicable • Passing an additional background check with the Department of Labor if licensing is required • Background investigation required • Not available to residents of California, Alaska, Hawaii, Washington, or Puerto Rico • Allstate generally does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this position • Dedicated, private workspace free from distractions when working from home • Reliable internet with minimum speeds of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload
