📋 Description

• Investigate automobile accidents involving single or multiple vehicles with property damage and/or bodily injury and attorney/litigation involvement • Assess coverage, liability, and damages • Communicate with customers and attorneys through phone, email, text, and sometimes video chat • Negotiate fair injury settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants • Review damage details and interpret policies to determine coverage • Handle casualty and applicable line-of-business claims independently • Apply claim-handling methods to manage challenging and complex situations • Use estimate tools, job aids, and settlement platforms • Complete timely and accurate claim documentation in the claims system • Support a fast, fair, and easy claims process while keeping customers updated • Protect the company financially by executing policies according to policy agreements • Support UM/UIM represented litigation claims for Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years’ experience in bodily injury claim evaluations and negotiation preferred • 2+ years’ claims adjusting experience preferred • Illinois, Wisconsin, and Minnesota casualty claim handling experience is a plus • Proficient communication skills, especially over the phone • Ability to work independently and remotely while managing time efficiently • Familiarity with insurance policies, coverage, and liability determination • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills • Knowledge of tools and platforms for claims evaluation • Ability to work in the Central Time Zone • Dedicated private home office free from distractions • Minimum internet bandwidth of 50 MB download and 5 MB upload • Appropriate work surface and seating • Must submit to a background investigation • May be required to obtain an adjuster and/or appraiser license within 60 days of hire • Allstate generally does not sponsor individuals for employment-based visas for this position
