📋 Description

• Support annual operating budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-range planning processes with business and operational leaders • Prepare monthly financial reporting packages with variance analysis against budget, forecast, and prior year • Build and maintain financial models for business cases and scenario planning • Partner with Accounting on month-end close and reconciliation of financial results • Partner with department leaders to understand business needs, evaluate financial performance, and identify operational improvement opportunities • Incorporate industry-specific metrics into reports to highlight trends and support fact-based decisions • Streamline, standardize, and automate financial reporting and forecasting processes • Support ad hoc analysis and presentations for executive leadership and the Board • Serve as a trusted financial partner to operational and business leaders, providing insights for strategic planning and decision-making

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in finance, mathematics, actuarial science, statistics, or economics from an accredited program • 3+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, financial planning and analysis, or a related finance role • Experience in the healthcare industry, preferably within a health plan, managed care organization, or medical group • Experience with cost allocations, cost accounting, expense distribution methodologies, or departmental cost analysis • Demonstrated understanding of financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling • Experience analyzing financial performance, investigating variances, and communicating results to business leaders • Proven experience using databases, Word and Access, PowerPoint required • Expert in Microsoft Excel • Rudimentary understanding of databases and different data architecture • 5+ years of progressive experience in financial analysis, financial planning and analysis, or a related finance role (preferred) • Experience with business intelligence tools such as Workday Adaptive Planning (preferred) • Experience supporting executive level financial reporting and presentations (preferred) • External hires must pass a background check/drug screen
