📋 Description

• Embed with teams to learn their work in granular detail • Map time consumption, error points, and undesirable parts of processes • Involve teams in redesign from the beginning • Build agents, automations, skills, and tools using approved AI platforms, primarily Claude • Ship usable solutions during time-boxed sprints • Iterate alongside staff using their real deliverables • Define value targets and prove results at sprint close • Hand solutions to AI Platform Operations and IT with documentation, test cases, and runbooks • Provide support during a 30-day stabilization window • Diagnose and fix solutions during sprints and stabilization • Partner with IT support after stabilization • Convert one-off builds into reusable skills, agents, and templates • Maintain a reusable solution library for the AI Collective and Association staff • Measure hours returned, cycle time reduced, or capacity created • Report results, including unsuccessful engagements, to the Sr. Director and AI Steering Committee • Follow Responsible AI guidelines, data handling standards, and information security requirements • Determine which processes should remain human-led • Partner with Enterprise Risk and AI Platform Operations before solutions access sensitive data • Coordinate system access and credentials for builds • Serve as a dedicated member of the AI Collective

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent professional experience • 3–5 years of professional experience understanding and changing how processes run • Hands-on experience building AI agents, automations, or tools adopted in day-to-day work • Working fluency with Claude or a comparable enterprise AI platform, including agentic and multi-step workflows • Comfort working with APIs, connectors, and structured data • Understanding of the distinction between prototype and production system • Ability to teach users to maintain and extend solutions • Strong written and verbal communication with non-technical staff • Patience working with people skeptical of AI • Comfort operating without an established playbook • Preferred: experience with Claude Code, Claude Cowork, MCP servers, or comparable agent development frameworks • Preferred: experience delivering AI or automation work in a large, matrixed organization • Preferred: background in scientific research, public policy and advocacy, healthcare, fundraising, or field and volunteer operations • Preferred: familiarity with Microsoft 365, Salesforce, Workday, or CXone • Preferred: prior nonprofit sector experience • Preferred: experience documenting and scaling solutions beyond the original team • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods • Occasional evening or weekend availability during active sprints or handoff • Travel up to 15% to work onsite with teams • Ability to facilitate working sessions virtually and in person
