📋 Description

• Strengthen engagement across AMA Professional Chapters • Support volunteer leadership and oversee chapter operations • Serve as the first point of contact for Professional Chapter leaders • Provide operational assistance, resolve issues, and connect volunteers with AMA resources • Create and maintain chapter communications, newsletters, training materials, operational guides, and other resources • Manage the Chapter Excellence Awards and Ric Sweeney Chapter Volunteer of the Year Award processes • Support PCC meeting planning and special events, including scheduling, logistics, accommodations, materials, note-taking, and follow-up • Monitor chapter performance and organizational health, maintain data, and prepare reports • Partner with the Professional Chapters Council to support chapters that need additional guidance • Develop initiatives for volunteer engagement, collaboration, leadership development, and knowledge sharing • Facilitate communication and collaboration between AMA staff and volunteer leaders • Coordinate volunteer onboarding, leadership training, Leadership Labs, and other learning opportunities • Identify and implement improvements to chapter programs, policies, and operational processes • Support member engagement, membership growth and retention, and the Professional Chapter member experience • Respond to chapter inquiries and advise on operations, development, growth, and revitalization • Build relationships with volunteer leaders and community stakeholders through recognition and appreciation initiatives

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years working in a non-profit organization or in volunteer management • 3–5 years working in customer service • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint • Proficiency in Google Suite, including Docs and Sheets • Effective relationship-building skills and commitment to cultivating trust and understanding • Clear and inclusive written and verbal communication skills • Highly organized and resourceful, with strong attention to detail • Self-starter spirit and eagerness to keep learning • Must live in Alabama, Colorado, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, or Wisconsin • Unable to consider candidates who require H1-B sponsorship • Salesforce database management competence is an advantage • Website content management via CMS such as WordPress or Payload is an advantage
