📋 Description

• Support public filings of Form 10-Q and Form 10-K • Handle accounting for stock compensation, pensions, derivatives, purchase accounting, goodwill and intangible impairment assessments, cash flow, footnotes, and ad hoc requests • Lead projects as needed and supervise the work of other team members • Coordinate projects between groups to improve accuracy and process efficiencies • Administer and interpret accounting policies, analyses, schedules, exhibits, and summaries in accordance with US GAAP • Prepare clear and concise accounting documentation, including memos and journal entries • Develop subject-matter expertise in areas including pensions, derivatives, stock compensation, purchase and divestiture accounting, impairment assessments, cash flow, and foreign currency • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities, including compiling and analyzing financial information, calculations, journal entries, reconciliations, issue resolution, and public-filing tie-outs • Conduct process overviews and recommend improvements to accounting operations, including training plans, implementation, and strategies • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Typically, eight (8) years of accounting experience or six (6) years of public accounting experience with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance • US Citizenship is required • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) • Ability to perform data extraction and manipulation, analyze financial data, and generate reports • Ability to analyze and explain forecast vs actual, quarter-over-quarter, and year-over-year variances • Ability to work with numbers and complete assignments with attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy • Strong analytical and organizational skills to oversee and balance multiple work assignments • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization and act as a key liaison with external auditors • Proficiency in finance and accounting relational databases: Costpoint, Cognos, HFM, and Blackline • Proficiency in Microsoft applications • Data-driven and continuous learning mindset, including the ability to learn new technologies quickly and leverage AI responsibly • Ability to evaluate and apply emerging AI-enabled technologies, assess use cases, validate outputs, understand limitations and risks, and incorporate AI into daily work • Demonstrated AI fluency and experience using AI tools to enhance workflows, productivity, decision-making, customer experiences, business outcomes, or operational efficiency • CPA preferred • Experience auditing a public client or working for a public company within corporate accounting highly preferred
