📋 Description

• Prepare Site-Specific Safety Plans and Activity Hazard Analyses for assigned Business Unit projects • Ensure compliance with safety policies and adopted standards • Ensure PPE meets applicable OSHA/EPA requirements and employees are trained in proper use • Conduct safety audits, inspections, and follow-up inspections at assigned project sites • Deliver safety training to all personnel assigned to the project • Review subcontractor safety qualifications and attend pre-construction meetings • Create and evaluate activity hazard reviews • Conduct regulatory compliance activities and accident/incident investigations • Develop and implement corrective action plans • Work with project supervision to create safety solutions • Foster and maintain a positive project safety culture • Maintain required safety certifications • Conduct quarterly safety meetings for project staff • Produce safety activity reports • Lead incident and accident investigations • Perform other duties as required

🎯 Requirements

• B.S. Degree in Occupational Safety & Health Engineering or similar field • Minimum of 5 years construction industry safety experience on similar projects • Ability to effectively communicate safety within a project team • Current EM385 1-1 certification • An average of at least 24 hours of formal safety training each year for the past 5 years • Training for competent person status in excavation, scaffolding, fall protection, hazardous energy, confined space, and health hazard recognition, evaluation and control of chemical, physical and biological agents • Construction Health and Safety Technician Certification • Current OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification • NFPA 70E certification for flash training • Proficient with Microsoft Office and other basic computer skills • Organized, proactive, and proven experience in OSHA and EM385 compliance • Current First Aid & CPR Certification • Skillful verbal and written communicator • Excellent writing skills with proper grammar • Ability to travel frequently, if applicable • Ability to communicate professionally and positively
