📋 Description

• Support the Annual Heart Disease and Stroke Statistical Update • Extract, analyze, and summarize prevalence, mortality, healthcare utilization, expenditure, and outcome data using national datasets such as NHANES, NHIS, CDC WONDER, HCUP, and MEPS • Assist with collection, management, analysis, and reporting of cardiovascular disease and stroke-related data • Create and update statistical tables, figures, charts, and supporting documentation for scientific reports and publications • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, analytic documentation, and process guides for data extraction, analysis, reporting, and quality assurance • Collaborate with epidemiologists, data scientists, and scientific volunteers to respond to data requests and support annual publication activities

🎯 Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Epidemiology, Public Health, Statistics, or a related field • Working knowledge of statistical software such as cloud-based SAS and/or R required • Interest in and commitment to working with chronic disease data and populations • Ability to conduct quantitative analyses and interpret public health data • Ability to develop written procedures and documentation • Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams • Coursework or experience in epidemiologic methods, statistics, and population health research • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and quality assurance • Effective oral, written and presentation communication skills • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment managing multiple priorities involving multiple entities • Intermediate to excellent proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint • Reliable WiFi connection • Minimum availability of 20 hours per week, Monday-Friday between 8:30 am and 5 pm CST • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship, now or in the future • For remote work, must perform the work inside the United States, not in a foreign country • Experience using approved enterprise or closed-system AI tools for data analysis, documentation, quality assurance, or scientific reporting is preferred
