📋 Description

• Partner with APA business units to understand needs and guide them to Salesforce Platform solutions • Lead discovery sessions with business units and end users • Recommend solutions that favor existing functionality over net-new builds and explain trade-offs • Translate requirements into Jira user stories with clear acceptance criteria • Select declarative or programmatic approaches for requirements • Assess impacts on automation, managed packages, security, and integrations • Lead discovery spikes on legacy or unfamiliar areas and document findings • Design, build, test, and deploy bulk-safe Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Flows • Deliver changes through Copado across development, SIT, QA/UAT, and Production environments • Investigate and resolve production incidents, identify root causes, and implement lasting fixes • Review developers’ code and user stories before promotion • Retire dead code, obsolete automation, and unused metadata safely • Mentor junior developers and administrators • Contribute to team standards and runbooks • Perform other duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience • 6+ years of hands-on Salesforce development experience • At least 3 years in a senior or lead developer role • Proven experience delivering in a large, multi-team Salesforce org with legacy customization, managed packages, and integrations • Ability to run requirements sessions with non-technical stakeholders and translate them into delivered solutions • Experience guiding stakeholders toward simpler, maintainable alternatives • Strong written communication, including user stories, acceptance criteria, design notes, and incident summaries • Experience working in an Agile team with peer code review and shared development standards • Salesforce Platform Developer I certification required • Platform Developer II or Application Architect preferred • Advanced proficiency in Apex, SOQL/SOSL, and Apex test classes • Strong experience building Lightning Web Components and record-triggered, screen, and autolaunched Flows • Understanding of the Salesforce security model, sharing, and Experience Cloud/guest-user access • Experience with Salesforce APIs (REST, SOAP), Named Credentials, Connected Apps, and platform events • Working knowledge of platform limits and designing within them • Proficiency with Copado, SFDX/Salesforce CLI, Git, Bitbucket, and sandbox-based release pipelines • Advanced knowledge of Jira and Confluence • Experience in association or nonprofit environments is a plus • Experience with Fonteva and Apttus/Conga CPQ is a plus • Familiarity with VS Code and AI-assisted development tools is a plus
