📋 Description

• Assist in design, development, and evaluation of the operation of marine vessels, ship machinery, and related equipment, such as propulsion systems & power generation systems. • Support the US Coast Guard reviewing third party design modifications and improvements to mechanical systems and components. • Perform design reviews, evaluating constructability, helping resolve technical issues, and managing information generated through the design and construction phases. • Conduct analyses of propulsion systems and types, lead development of technical data packages and reviews. • Conduct trade studies regarding ship configuration. • Conduct marine engineering analysis. • Create graphical representations of structures and systems. • Inspect equipment or systems. • Assist in research of advanced engineering designs or applications. • Prepare technical reports for internal use.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering • Ability to obtain a secret clearance • At least 3+ years of experience in marine specific fields (i.e. propulsion systems, power-generation systems, fluids and hydraulics) • Experience with GE LM2500 or MTU Engines/Generators
