📋 Description

• Provide on-call support for urgent operational requirements as needed • Maintain familiarity with sensor capabilities and applications in border security operations • Assist in inventory, deployment, and maintenance of unattended ground sensor systems • Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance, including alignment, inspection, and sensor testing • Provide technical assistance during operations and train team members • Diagnose and resolve malfunctions, replace hardware, troubleshoot software, and verify corrections • Follow safety procedures and ensure compliance with operational guidelines • Maintain records of deployments, maintenance, and system performance, and compile reports • Manage accountability for hardware, software, and spare parts • Maintain diagnostic and operational tools, support equipment, and test systems • Collaborate with CBP offices, DHS officials, and USBP personnel • Contribute to new UGS technologies and strategies

🎯 Requirements

• Active CBP BI or TOP SECRET clearance required • U.S. Citizenship required • Associate’s degree in electronics, telecommunications, or related field, or equivalent military or law enforcement training • Minimum 5 years of experience with unattended ground sensors or similar technologies • Technical knowledge of seismic, acoustic, infrared, magnetic, and microwave sensors • Understanding of UGS components, including power supplies, communication modules, and sensor elements • Proficiency in sensor collection, processing, and data transmission • Understanding of wireless communication, encryption and security, and AI with image recognition • Knowledge of sensor emplacement, site selection, and concealment • Skills in signal processing, anomaly detection, and software tools for data visualization • Knowledge of UGS integration with other security systems • Understanding of geographical and environmental conditions in deployment areas • Ability to work in rugged terrain and adverse weather conditions • Physical endurance for lifting, carrying, and transporting equipment over long distances • Willingness to travel frequently and be deployed for extended periods • Scheduled work averages 20–32 hours per week
