📋 Description

• Originate and close mortgage loans through sales efforts • Engage in direct sales activities with clients away from company and home offices • Develop referral sources with individual borrowers, real estate brokers, builders, developers, branches and other referral sources • Proactively solicit business and generate leads for mortgage financing • Establish and maintain client relationships with realtors, builders, developers, branches and referral agents • Contact potential or existing customers in person or by phone to develop or retain business • Counsel customers on eligible mortgage products and recommend products fitting their financial needs • Assist customers with loan applications, initial documentation and disclosures • Oversee loan processing by monitoring loan status and ensuring conformity with terms • Coordinate workflow with loan processors and assist with collecting documents and communicating loan status • Adhere to minimum fees and product pricing structures • Network through industry, professional, business and community organizations to promote loan products • Attend required purchase loan closing transactions • Update branch manager on sales call efforts • Review pipeline reports with loan processors • Support bank cross-selling opportunities and initiatives • Stay informed on mortgage programs and regulatory requirements • Meet or exceed minimum production standards • Attend required meetings and complete required training • Practice ethical sales behaviors and act in customers’ best interests

🎯 Requirements

• Maintain an active Ameris Bank sponsored Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) number in compliance with the federal S.A.F.E Act requirements • Experience using mortgage origination applications • Effective utilization of a contact management system • Knowledge of mortgage products/servicing, operations, and current market trends • Proven mortgage production of $5 million over the past year • Proven success in establishing referral relationships • Minimum 1 year of Mortgage experience • Minimum 1 year of Customer Service experience • High school diploma or GED required • Bachelor’s degree preferred • Complete all required training • Adhere to work schedule as designated by manager
