📋 Description

• Investigate and maintain property catastrophe claims • Determine liability, secure information, review coverages, arrange appraisals, and settle claims • Report to the CAT Property Claims Manager • Deploy to the field when a catastrophe occurs • Investigate claim origin and cause by contacting insureds, claimants, agents, attorneys, contractors, experts, investigators, adjusters, public personnel, and other parties • Identify complex issues and seek assistance as needed • Handle claims on a good faith basis, including first-party and third-party claims under multiple policy types and endorsements • Conduct on-site inspections, evaluate damages, and negotiate claims with relevant parties • Respond to customer inquiries, make decisions, and close files as needed • Interpret policies, leases, bylaws, declarations, articles, and contract coverages and apply them to assigned losses • Provide parties with claim-process information and status updates; answer questions or redirect inquiries • Complete other assignments, duties, or projects as required

🎯 Requirements

• Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support, or service • Demonstrated experience handling first-party and third-party, multiline claims across operating territories, or equivalent experience • Demonstrated experience handling moderately complex claims, or equivalent experience • Solid knowledge of casualty coverage policies and endorsements, or equivalent knowledge • Solid knowledge of each phase of the claim-handling process, or equivalent knowledge • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record required • Obtain state-specific property casualty claims licensing as required • Ability to travel up to 50%; catastrophe duty travel up to 75% as applicable • Ability to conduct inspections in homes and other hazardous or challenging environments • Ability to ascend and descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles, and similar structures • Ability to move through tight and confined spaces • Ability to adjust or move objects up to 50 pounds in all directions • Ability to work in low and high temperatures, precipitation, wind, noisy environments, hazardous conditions, poor ventilation, and small or enclosed spaces • Successful applicable background checks • Signing a non-disclosure agreement for proprietary information, trade secrets, and inventions • Sponsorship is not considered unless specified in the posting
