📋 Description

• Investigate and maintain property claims • Secure information, review coverages, complete field inspections, and settle claims • Handle moderately complex homeowner property field claims, typically within 2 hours of Cleveland, Ohio • Occasionally handle desk claims • Investigate claim origin and cause by contacting insureds, claimants, agents, attorneys, contractors, experts, investigators, adjusters and public personnel • Identify complex issues and seek assistance as needed • Handle 1st-party and 3rd-party claims under multiple policy types and endorsements • Conduct on-site inspections, evaluate damages, and negotiate settlements • Respond to customer inquiries, make decisions, and close files as needed • Interpret policies, leases, by-laws, declarations, articles and contract coverages • Provide claim process and status updates and answer or redirect questions • Complete other assignments and participate in projects as needed • Report to the Property Claim Manager • Travel to office locations occasionally for team meetings, training and culture events

🎯 Requirements

• Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support, or service • Demonstrated experience handling 1st and 3rd party, multi-line claims across operating territories, or equivalent experience • Demonstrated experience handling moderately complex claims, or equivalent experience • Solid knowledge of policies and endorsements related to casualty coverages, or equivalent knowledge • Solid knowledge of each phase of the claim handling process, or equivalent knowledge • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record • Obtain state-specific property casualty claims licensing as required • Hands-on property field claims experience • Proven ability to write clear, accurate, and timely estimates in Xactimate • Ability to travel up to 50% • Ability to perform catastrophe duty up to 75% as applicable • Ability to ascend/descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and similar structures • Ability to work in tight and confined spaces and hazardous environments • Ability to move objects up to 50 pounds in all directions • Offer contingent on applicable background checks • Offer contingent on signing a non-disclosure agreement • Sponsorship will not be considered unless specified in the posting
