📋 Description

• Provide strategic direction and oversight to the regional MSL team • Manage, coach, develop, and evaluate MSL direct reports • Foster collaboration, retention, engagement, growth, and work-life balance • Identify MSL training needs and collaborate on training plans • Ensure compliance standards and administrative responsibilities are completed • Lead the team through organizational change • Partner with medical leadership to develop Field Medical strategy, tactics, and Scientific Engagement Plans • Elevate field medical insights to refine strategy and tactics • Identify tools and resources supporting Scientific Engagement Plans • Oversee peer-to-peer scientific engagement with opinion leaders, community healthcare providers, and population health decision makers • Develop key-account engagement strategies with internal stakeholders • Guide MSL education on clinical value, outcomes, and economic data • Support the MSL team in achieving impactful strategies and tactics • Represent the MSL team to senior leadership • Collaborate with stakeholders to provide field observations and insights • Support congress activities • Participate in and lead Field Medical project teams • Ensure cross-functional collaboration between field medical and field commercial teams

🎯 Requirements

• Doctorate degree and 4 years of Medical Affairs experience, or Master's degree and 8 years of Medical Affairs experience, or Bachelor's degree and 10 years of Medical Affairs experience • 4 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs, or directing resource allocation • Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., or D.O. preferred; other doctoral degrees considered • 7 years of industry experience in Scientific/Medical Affairs at a biotech or pharmaceutical company preferred • 7 or more years focused on clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research preferred • Experience in a medically related field, including postdoctoral training, residencies, and/or fellowships preferred • 3+ years in a medical science liaison role at a biotech or pharmaceutical company preferred • Current experience in Scientific Affairs or Medical Affairs at a biotech or pharmaceutical company preferred • 3 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leading teams, projects, programs, or directing resource allocation preferred • Obesity and Related Conditions expertise preferred • Sponsorship for this role is not guaranteed
