• Provide strategic direction and oversight to the regional MSL team • Manage, coach, develop, and evaluate MSL direct reports • Foster collaboration, retention, engagement, growth, and work-life balance • Identify MSL training needs and coordinate training plans and timelines • Ensure compliance standards and timely completion of CRM, expense reports, and training modules • Lead the team through organizational change and medical initiative execution • Partner with medical leadership to develop Field Medical strategy, tactics, and Scientific Engagement Plans • Elevate field medical insights to refine strategy and tactics • Identify and champion tools and resources supporting Scientific Engagement Plans • Oversee scientific engagement activities with opinion leaders, community healthcare providers, and population health decision makers • Develop key-account engagement and execution strategies with internal stakeholders • Guide MSL education and communication of clinical value, outcomes, and economic data to population health decision makers • Represent the MSL team with senior leadership and articulate Field Medical impact • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and support congress activities • Participate in and lead project teams supporting Field Medical strategies and tactics • Ensure effective cross-functional collaboration between field medical and field commercial teams
• Doctorate degree and 4 years of Medical Affairs experience, or Master’s degree and 8 years of Medical Affairs experience, or Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of Medical Affairs experience • 4 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs, or directing resource allocation • Preferred: Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D., D.O., or other doctoral degree • Preferred: 7 years of industry experience in Scientific/Medical Affairs at a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company • Preferred: 7 or more years focused on clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research • Preferred: 3+ years in a medical science liaison role at a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company • Current experience in Scientific Affairs or Medical Affairs at a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company • Preferred: 3 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leading teams, projects, programs, or directing resource allocation • Expertise in Obesity and Related Conditions • Territory includes MN, NE, KS, MI, WI, IL, and IN
