📋 Description

• Partner with Amgen’s finance leaders during a 10–13 week summer program • Complete a meaningful project tied directly to Amgen’s strategic and tactical goals • Develop technical and financial skills and prepare a presentation for the greater finance organization • Gain understanding of the functional finance team and its contribution to Amgen’s success • Potential team placements in Financial Planning & Analysis, Treasury, Accounting, Tax, Corporate Audit, and Corporate Services • Collaborate with fellow interns in a week-long multidisciplinary case study competition • Explore use of data, automation, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies to improve financial analysis, forecasting, reporting, controls, and decision-making • Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, develop insights, and communicate recommendations to business partners • Participate in meetings, networking opportunities, and career development events with Amgen executives and senior leaders • Network with colleagues across the company and participate in Employee Resource Groups

🎯 Requirements

• Must be available to work a full-time schedule • Expected continued enrollment in an accredited college or university following the internship program / co-op • Student must be located in the United States for the duration of the internship program • Must be available to accept and commit to future full-time employment by July 2028, if offered • 18 years or older • Graduated with a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university • Currently enrolled in an MBA, Master’s, PharmD, or Ph.D. program from an accredited college or university and completed the first year before the internship starts • Concentration in Economics, Business Administration, Biotechnology Management, Accounting or Finance • Understanding of basic financial analytical principles • Effective communication and organizational skills • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment • Experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint • Strong team mentality and ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues on complex assignments • Prior work experience in biotechnology, pharmaceutical or healthcare industry • Thoughtful cover letter highlighting interest in the role and alignment of experience • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. for the duration of the program • Sponsorship for future FTE roles is not guaranteed
