📋 Description

• Support the MSL TA head and local TA lead in developing local territory R&D tactics • Communicate accurate, clear, and valued information regarding Amgen science and products to the medical community • Provide field observations to internal collaborators • Engage healthcare partners to educate and communicate clinical and scientific data • Educate payers, providers, key partners, advocacy, and access enablers on clinical value, outcomes, and economic data • Respond to unsolicited inquiries in accordance with MSL compliance standards • Present field observations and insights to internal collaborators • Implement a scientific engagement plan according to annual MSL goals and metrics • Develop and implement local OL plans • Support speaker training and ensure speakers are updated on new data • Support Amgen-sponsored research and potentially serve as a study lead • Liaise with potential investigators in non-sponsored clinical research • Lead or participate in project teams supporting MSL strategies and tactics • Lead and support congress activities • Collaborate compliantly with cross-functional colleagues and potentially serve as the main point of contact • Maintain clinical acuity and expertise and complete assigned training • Potentially serve as a training lead, New Hire Mentor, and/or International MSL mentor or trainer

🎯 Requirements

• Doctorate degree, or Master’s degree and 3 years of Medical Affairs experience, or Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of Medical Affairs experience • Preferred: PharmD, PhD, MD, or DO; other doctoral degrees considered • Preferred: Two years of proven experience in scientific or medical affairs at a biotech or pharmaceutical company • Preferred: Three or more years of clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research • Experience in a medically related field may include post-doctoral training, residencies, and/or fellowships • Preferred: Rare Disease therapeutic area expertise • Ability to support the territory of MD, DE, Washington DC, and Northern VA • Sponsorship for this role is not guaranteed
