📋 Description

• Act as the primary scientific/clinical resource to Opinion Leaders, Population Health Decision Makers and other healthcare providers • Execute Amgen Medical function and product strategy as led by MSL Leadership • Conduct peer-to-peer activities with Obesity and related conditions Opinion Leaders, community healthcare providers, and Population Health Decision Makers • Engage with clinical investigators and sites in support of the obesity pipeline • Communicate clinical, outcomes, and economic data to Population Health Decision Makers • Connect external and internal stakeholders to amplify Amgen’s reach and patient access • Conduct in-depth scientific exchange consistent with MSL compliance standards • Support Amgen-sponsored research and potentially serve as a study lead • Liaise with potential investigators in non-sponsored clinical research • Provide field observations and insights to internal stakeholders • Lead and support congress activities • Support speaker training and ensure speakers are updated on new data • Lead or participate in project teams supporting MSL strategies and tactics • Partner across Amgen field roles to create a coordinated One Amgen experience • Execute administrative responsibilities and training, including Veeva CRM, expense reports, and compliance modules • Report to an Obesity MSL Field Director

🎯 Requirements

• Doctorate degree, or Master’s degree and 3 years of Medical Affairs experience, or Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of Medical Affairs experience • Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D. or D.O. preferred • 1+ years Medical Affairs experience preferred • 4 or more years in a medically related field, including 1 year focused on clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research preferred • Current experience in Scientific Affairs or Medical Affairs at a biotech or pharmaceutical company preferred • Cardiometabolic and/or Obesity expertise preferred • Experience with designated territory preferred • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders • Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate scientific data • Maintain and improve clinical/scientific acumen and expertise with current data/information and healthcare trends • Sponsorship for this role is not guaranteed
