📋 Description

• Act as the primary scientific/clinical resource to Opinion Leaders, Population Health Decision Makers, healthcare providers, and community healthcare providers • Execute Amgen Medical function and product strategy as led by MSL Leadership to improve patient outcomes • Conduct peer-to-peer activities with obesity and related-conditions Opinion Leaders, healthcare providers, and PHDMs • Engage with clinical investigators and sites in support of the obesity pipeline • Communicate scientific, clinical, outcomes, and economic data to PHDMs within assigned IDNs and institutions • Connect external and internal stakeholders to expand reach and patient access • Conduct in-depth scientific exchange consistent with MSL compliance standards • Support Amgen-sponsored research and potentially serve as a study lead • Liaise with potential investigators in non-sponsored clinical research • Provide field observations and insights to internal stakeholders • Lead and support congress activities • Support speaker training and ensure speakers are updated on new data • Lead or participate in project teams supporting MSL strategies and tactics • Partner compliantly across Amgen field roles to coordinate a One Amgen experience • Execute administrative responsibilities and training, including Veeva CRM, expense reports, and compliance modules • Maintain and improve clinical/scientific expertise with current data, information, and healthcare trends

🎯 Requirements

• Doctorate degree, or Master’s degree and 3 years of Medical Affairs experience, or Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of Medical Affairs experience • Preferred: Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D. or D.O. (other doctoral degrees considered) • Preferred: 1+ years Medical Affairs experience • Preferred: 4 or more years in a medically related field, including 1 year focused on clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research; post-doctoral training may count • Current experience in Scientific Affairs or Medical Affairs at a biotech or pharmaceutical company • Cardiometabolic and/or Obesity expertise • Experience with designated territory • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders • Excellent communication skills to effectively communicate scientific data • Maintain clinical/scientific acumen and expertise with current data/information and healthcare trends • Ability to complete administrative responsibilities and training, including Veeva CRM, expense reports, and compliance modules • Sponsorship for this role is not guaranteed
