📋 Description

• Act as the primary scientific/clinical resource to Opinion Leaders, Population Health Decision Makers, and other healthcare providers • Execute Amgen Medical function and product strategy under MSL Leadership to provide accurate information and improve patient outcomes • Engage healthcare partners to educate and communicate clinical and scientific data • Educate payers, providers, key partners, advocacy groups, and access enablers on clinical value, outcomes, and economic data • Respond to unsolicited inquiries in accordance with MSL compliance standards • Provide field observations and insights to internal collaborators • Implement scientific engagement plans according to annual MSL goals and metrics • Develop and implement local Opinion Leader plans • Support speaker training and ensure speakers are updated on new data • Support Amgen-sponsored research and potentially serve as a study lead • Liaise with potential investigators in non-sponsored clinical research • Lead or participate in project teams supporting MSL strategies and tactics • Lead and support congress activities aligned with strategy • Collaborate compliantly with cross-functional colleagues and potentially serve as the main point of contact • Maintain clinical acuity and expertise and complete assigned training on time • Potentially serve as a training lead, New Hire Mentor, and/or International MSL mentor or trainer

🎯 Requirements

• Doctorate degree OR Master’s degree & 3 years of Medical Affairs experience OR Bachelor’s degree & 5 years of Medical Affairs experience • Preferred: Pharm.D., Ph.D., M.D. or D.O. (other doctoral degrees considered) • Preferred: 2 years of proven experience in scientific or medical affairs at a biotech or pharmaceutical company • Exceptional oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, including strong ability to network • Ability to travel up to 60% for territory management, regional and national conferences/workshops, and company meetings • Willingness/ability to work up to 15-hour days due to travel when needed • Experience in Rare Disease, Nephrology, or Rheumatology • Sponsorship for this role is not guaranteed
