• Own the financial management of the Information Technology organization and serve as the primary partner between IT leadership and Finance • Lead IT budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis • Drive cost transparency and accountability across technology spend • Ensure technology investments are planned, tracked, and optimized to deliver measurable business value • Lead development of the annual IT operating and capital budget with the CIO and IT leadership • Manage monthly and quarterly forecasts, track actuals against plan, and explain variances • Consolidate headcount, software, hardware, cloud, and professional-services spend into the IT financial plan • Oversee capital versus operating expense classification and correct recording and depreciation • Build business cases, ROI models, cost-benefit analyses, total-cost-of-ownership analyses, and unit-cost analyses • Deliver scenario and sensitivity analyses to support technology roadmap prioritization and trade-offs • Manage vendor spend, license commitments, renewals, cloud and SaaS consumption, and FinOps accountability • Review purchase requisitions, invoices, and accruals for accuracy, budget alignment, and approval • Develop chargeback/showback models for allocating technology costs to business units • Produce executive-ready IT financial reporting and dashboards for the CIO and senior leadership • Establish financial policies, controls, and approval workflows for compliance and audit readiness • Support the monthly IT close with Accounting • Advise and coach IT managers on budget ownership and spend discipline • Report to the Chief Information Officer and partner with FP&A/Corporate Finance, IT leadership, Procurement, and business-unit stakeholders • May lead or mentor financial analysts supporting the technology organization
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field • 5+ years of progressive experience in financial planning & analysis, IT finance, or corporate finance • Demonstrated experience managing budgets and forecasts for a technology or capital-intensive function • Strong command of budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and business-case development • Advanced Excel skills • Experience with financial systems such as ERP/EPM platforms and BI/reporting tools • Excellent communication skills and ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders • Preferred: MBA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification • Preferred: Experience with cloud cost management/FinOps and SaaS license optimization • Preferred: Familiarity with IT vendor contracts, software licensing models, and technology procurement • Preferred: Prior experience in insurance, financial services, or a related regulated industry • Preferred: Exposure to Technology Business Management frameworks and IT cost transparency
