📋 Description

• Deliver and oversee technical support to client SAP landscapes and satellite systems • Enhance, update, and deploy critical changes • Design new SAP solutions and create procedures • Serve as the main delivery contact for selected client accounts • Provide the single point of contact for planning and scheduling client technical maintenance and upgrade activities • Interface with client technical staff in regular meetings and provide planning and improvement recommendations • Perform SAP system migrations and landscape refreshes • Manage data protection, including database backup and recovery • Support HA configurations and ongoing SAP system maintenance, including performance management, patching, and problem management • Build and maintain documentation for problem resolution, root cause analysis, and procedures • Drive continual improvement in systems operations with delivery and development teams • Engage in root cause analysis with software development and delivery teams • Participate in initiatives to improve operational performance • Review workflow processes and SOPs with team leaders and members • Execute defined projects and report on progress • Train and mentor new team members

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Sciences, or equivalent work experience • 8-10 years of relevant hands-on SAP Basis engineering with one or more area of focus • 3+ years of experience as an SAP Basis engineer in a service provider or advanced IT organization operating in a 24x7 environment • Solid background administering SAP HANA databases • Solid background administering SAP Sybase databases • Understanding of SAP security principals • Experience with configuration management and automation tools • Familiarity with agile engineering practices (Kanban, continuous delivery, etc.) • AWS and Azure service usage on commercial or government cloud • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills • Strong ownership bias • Deadline and detail-oriented • US Citizenship required; work must be done within the borders of the US • Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Ansible preferred • Experience working in ITSM tools, ServiceNow preferred • Development experience with a high-level language such as Python or Java a plus
