📋 Description

• Execute user research activities, including foundational research, usability testing, interviews, surveys, and ethnographic studies • Develop and maintain user personas and journey maps • Integrate iterative testing and feedback loops throughout the product development life cycle • Plan and facilitate usability testing sessions, including recruitment, script development, and post-session analysis • Collect and analyze user data to identify patterns, trends, and product improvement opportunities • Prepare research reports, presentations, and documentation for stakeholders • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and developers to integrate research findings into product development • Coach and mentor junior researchers • Monitor industry trends, emerging technologies, and UX research best practices • Pursue professional development and contribute to the growth of the startup • Adapt research approaches to evolving project requirements and business needs • Share user insights and educate the broader team on the importance of user research • Use AI to accelerate analysis, synthesize insights, automate time-consuming tasks, and support prototype development • Drive research priorities and plans that create user, customer, and business value

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of mixed methods research experience • Proficiency in mixed research methods, including 1:1 interviews, focus groups, surveys, behavioral analyses, card sorting, and tree testing • Ability to select appropriate combinations of quantitative and qualitative methods for research plans • Ability to independently conduct research with minimal guidance • Experience incorporating AI to accelerate analysis, synthesize insights, and automate tasks • Comfort with prototype development • Ability to ground research priorities in objectives driving user, customer, and business value • Ability to resolve complex issues in ambiguous environments and adapt research methods to different audiences • Ability to independently identify research opportunities for business-critical product experiences • Ability to develop cross-functional research plans • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • Ability to build compelling narratives to influence cross-functional stakeholders • Diverse portfolio demonstrating complex problem-solving and driven outcomes • Empathetic, resilient, collaborative, authentic, humble, and sensitive disposition
