• Serve as the key scientific lead on publication, medical affairs, and promotional accounts • Provide editorial, scientific, and strategic expertise to client teams • Partner with Client Services to build relationships among account, editorial, and client teams • Lead client meetings and teleconferences as required • Ensure assigned medical communications are accurate, clinically relevant, and current • Consult with key opinion leaders and provide expert resources • Maintain knowledge of pharmaceutical industry developments and drug trends • Partner with pharmaceutical clients on communication-program goals and objectives • Conduct literature searches and synthesize clinical trial data • Translate clinical data for physician and consumer audiences • Attend and help design investigator meetings and advisory boards • Write medical manuscripts, white papers, monographs, slide kits, abstracts, and posters • Edit medical documents, verify scientific accuracy, and provide quality control for writers and freelancers
• Advanced degree in life sciences, pharmacology, or medicine • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work within deadlines • Ability to manage multiple projects and multitask • Strong financial, administrative, organizational, and client communication skills • Ability to work with clients and faculty members • Keen attention to detail and ability to prioritize responsibilities • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment • Advanced computer skills • Knowledge of Internet searches and Microsoft Windows software, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • Ability to maintain complex spreadsheets • Willingness to travel as needed, including weekends
