📋 Description

• Lead the clinical development strategy for Labcorp Oncology’s minimal residual disease (MRD) portfolio across solid tumors • Develop and execute evidence-generation strategies for MRD and circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) technologies • Design, develop, and execute clinical studies establishing clinical validity, clinical utility, and health-economic value • Direct clinical strategies for MRD detection, recurrence monitoring, treatment response, risk stratification, treatment selection, and trial enrichment • Partner with operations, biostatistics, R&D, market access, regulatory, medical affairs, commercial, and executive leadership teams • Recruit and maintain relationships with principal investigators, cooperative groups, academic research centers, professional societies, payers, and other stakeholders • Oversee study execution, including protocols, site selection, enrollment, timelines, budgets, and governance • Provide medical leadership across the MRD product lifecycle from concept development through commercialization and lifecycle management • Guide assay development, biomarker strategy, product roadmaps, indication expansion, and clinical claims • Support payer coverage, reimbursement, guideline inclusion, and health-system adoption of MRD testing • Represent Labcorp Oncology at congresses, advisory boards, investigator meetings, and industry forums • Oversee medical education, scientific communications, publication planning, manuscripts, abstracts, presentations, and congress submissions • Lead, mentor, and develop medical directors and disease-specific clinical leaders • Support regulatory submissions and monitor scientific, clinical, and competitive developments

🎯 Requirements

• M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school • Board certification in Medical Oncology • 5 or more years of post-fellowship clinical experience treating patients with solid tumors • 3 or more years of oncology clinical development, clinical research, clinical trial leadership, or evidence-generation experience • 8 or more years of experience designing, leading, or supporting prospective and/or retrospective clinical studies • 5 or more years of experience working cross-functionally with operations, biostatistics, regulatory affairs, medical affairs, R&D, commercial, and/or market access teams • 20 or more presentations delivered to scientific congresses, investigators, KOLs, healthcare providers, advisory boards, or medical education forums • Strong understanding of oncology clinical trial methodology, study design, evidence generation, biostatistics, and regulatory requirements • Broad knowledge of solid tumor treatment paradigms, clinical guidelines, biomarkers, and precision oncology • Ability to travel up to 30% • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills • Proven ability to lead within highly matrixed organizations and influence without direct authority • Strong project leadership and organizational skills • Established relationships with oncology investigators, cooperative groups, academic cancer centers, and professional societies
