📋 Description

• Assist with day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, payments, and general ledger activities • Process vendor invoices, employee expenses, credit card transactions, and other accounting entries • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations and resolve discrepancies • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules • Maintain accurate accounting records and properly coded, documented transactions • Support accounts receivable activities, customer account reconciliations, cash application, collections support, and outstanding balance investigations • Support accounts payable activities, invoice matching, payment processing, vendor statement reconciliations, and vendor inquiries • Maintain fixed asset records, prepaid expenses, accruals, and other balance sheet accounts • Assist with financial reports, management reporting, and accounting schedules • Support audit, tax, and external reporting requirements • Maintain internal controls and identify discrepancies, process gaps, and improvement opportunities • Work with operations and other departments to resolve accounting issues • Maintain accounting system data, including customer, vendor, and general ledger information • Participate in process improvement initiatives • Perform other accounting and finance-related duties as assigned

🎯 Requirements

• Diploma or degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience • Approximately 1–3 years of bookkeeping, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general accounting experience preferred • Foundational knowledge of accounting principles, reconciliations, and the accounts payable and purchase order cycle • Working knowledge of Excel, including basic formulas, sorting, filtering, and lookups • Experience with accounting or ERP software is an asset • Familiarity with U.S. GAAP is an asset • Manufacturing or consumer packaged goods experience is an asset • Attention to detail, effective communication, and ability to organize competing priorities and meet deadlines • Ability to work independently on assigned tasks while seeking guidance on unfamiliar or complex issues • Candidates must reside in the US and be legally authorized to work in the US • Availability to work regular Pacific Time hours from US
